OpenAI confidentially files for an IPO
Valued at $852B, OpenAI prepares a US listing without yet revealing financials or timing.

OpenAI has confidentially filed preliminary paperwork for a US IPO, without disclosing its financials. The company, valued at $852 billion, has not yet set the timing and is preparing a tender offer to let employees sell some of their shares.
The deal would be led by Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley. OpenAI reports more than 900 million weekly active users, but keeps burning cash to buy compute capacity and build AI infrastructure.
The filing arrives as Anthropic also prepares to list and SpaceX has begun meeting investors: the markets have never seen such a wave of entries at once.
