Reflection Launches Beam: Open-Weight AI Model for Enterprises
Reflection's new Beam model targets businesses and governments, offering a customizable AI factory that runs on reduced compute power.
Reflection has announced the release of Beam, an open‑weight artificial intelligence model aimed at enterprises and sovereign nations. The company positions Beam as a cost‑effective alternative to existing Chinese AI offerings, emphasizing lower compute requirements.
The core proposition is an “AI factory” product that enables institutions to train Reflection’s models on their own proprietary datasets. By doing so, organizations can develop tailored, locally‑hosted AI systems without relying on external providers.
Beam’s open‑weight nature means the model’s architecture and weights are publicly accessible, allowing users to fine‑tune the system to specific use cases while maintaining control over data privacy and security.
Reflection’s strategy reflects a broader industry shift toward customizable, on‑premise AI solutions that reduce dependency on cloud‑based services and high‑cost compute infrastructure.
The announcement was reported by *TechCrunch AI* on October 5, 2026.
