According to the company, Claude Fable 5.1 delivers stronger performance than the previous Fable 5 iteration while typically costing about 25 % less. For more demanding, agentic tasks the price reduction can reach up to 45 %.
The pricing adjustments are positioned as a direct answer to client concerns about the expense of running complex AI agents, as well as the perceived over‑reach of existing safeguards.
Anthropic highlighted that the new models maintain the same level of data‑privacy protections, aiming to balance cost efficiency with responsible AI usage.
